Lily is an artist and facilitator. During her MA in Inclusive Art she conducted a research project about making monuments with under-respresented people.
Lily is an artist and facilitator working in the North East of England with lots of different materials. She likes to make art about women, stories and about memories.
Lily works with lots of different people. She likes to work side-by-side with people, talking through ideas while making them and comparing how they are different. Some work was made in collaboration with Emma Jayne Nagouse, a PhD candidate at University of Sheffield. The Represent Brighton research project collaborated with members of the public from Brighton.
The aim of her work is to make sure everyone she works with feels like an expert, and that they're given the space to find creative ways of being themselves.
Lily started working with clay in 2008 and studied at University of Sunderland to gain her degree in Glass & Ceramics. She also uses illustration, textiles, found objects and heritage crafts.
Content warning- some of her work is about stories of sexual violence in the Bible. Please ensure you are comfortable engaging with this material, before looking at the work entitled How To Make a Ghost.
