Represent Brighton was a research project undertaken as part of Lily's MA in Inclusive Arts Practice. Over 6 weeks different people who felt under represented by monuments attended workshops to build new monuments. We call these new monuments "Nonuments".
Lily responded to these workshops with a piece of work in the MA Inclusive Arts Practice MA show.

Canny and Uncanny
Creative collaboration to produce clay sculptures investigating the shared ground between comics and monuments at Comics Grid conference 2018
Lily made her own Nonument and recorded it as it crumbled and changed. Clay was donated by Hazel Reeves from her monument to Emmeline Pankhurst.
Left over clay was packaged into batik (kanga) fabric so people could handle the material.
